Some of my recent web developments

Sporting 87 FC

Sporting 87 FC are based in Bury St Edmunds, Suffolk. They approached me to help them completly rework their site. I have worked closely with one of the club managers to help him develop the design.

It is built on top of the WordPress framework and contains many unique features. It remains a work in progress and Juju will be working closely with the club over the coming months to bring new features and ultimately a complete club management system.

Parliamentary candidate - Professor Stephen Bush

The 2010 general elections brought about the oportunity for one of my clients, Professor Stephen Bush, to stand for election.

This site was developed rapidly on the WordPress framework. A content management system that we were beginning to become familiar with. This is a custom theme and icorporates the embryo of a WordPress plug in to handle questions and answers.

Colour schemes and general look and feel were essentially a match of the main UKIP websiote at the time in order to retain a consistant theme.

Britain Watch

Britain Watch tackles the issues of the day affecting Britain at large. Its main focus is to reveal the truth behind the headlines and fight the folly of government and general media.

My company , Juju, was commissioned to provide a magazine style site for the site sponsors, Prosyma Research. The site was to contain many pages of static reference material and an ongoing series of current affairs articles.

WordPress was selected as a content management system for the site. This was an interesting commission for Juju as prior to Britain Watch we had only customised existing themes, this project presented the opportunity to create a theme from scratch.

All original artwork was provided by my associate creative director, Sue Brettell. Britain Watch remains an ongoing commission for Juju as we work closely with the client to keep the site up to date and regularly add new features to enrich the user experience.

Katherine Edden

Katherine Edden is a young artist, who gained a BA Hons in Fine Art from the University College of the Creative Arts, Farnham Surrey.

My company , Juju, was commissioned to provide a gallery based site for Katherine. She had recently graduated and needed a web presence to show case her portfolio.

Katherine suggested an idea of a scatter of polaroids being sorted and stuck into a scrap book and the site tells that story, clicking on any of the three main polaroids on the home page takes us inside the associated scrap book.

The site was developed and coded from scratch by hand and includes a simple admin section that allows Katherine to add images and descriptions to the site. The backend database is MySQL and the serverside code is in PHP, there is XHTML, CSS and JavaScript in the clientside.

Winning Training & Development

Winning Training & Development was a specialist training and development company, managed by Sharon Gaskin, a trainer, facilitator and coach with over 20 years experience.

This project was a WordPress customisation based on the "MistyLook" theme. My associate creative directorSue Brettell of designed the customisation, graphics and brought us in to apply these to the theme code and CSS.

In 2010 Sharon decided to close the Winning Training site to concentrate her efforts on the her other project: The Trainers Training Company

JT Finishing Solutions

JT Finishing Solutions is a Bury St Edmunds based powder coating and wet spray finishing specialist company.

This project was a complete rework. JTFS had a site that they wanted freshening up. One of the main remits was to dispense with the myth that powder coating was only available in black or drab colours. There is whole colour palette available and we achieved this with the rainbow effect in the main banner graphic.

They also wanted to promote their friendly and approachable personality - We believe that we have achieved an approachable, cheerful yet professional look for this client.

They are delighted with their new site and Maureen Thurlbourn, said "It's great being confident to direct people to our new website"
